Week 12

Following the funding from our Crime commissioner Mr John DWYER, speed devices were purchased to help keep our roads safe.  One of these devices will be used regularly by our newly formed DUTTON community speed watch group who have all received their training from CWAC.  CWAC Cllr Lynn GIBBON and I have arranged a site visit to support the DUTTON community speed watch group.

Last month WEAVER and CUDDINGTON beat team attended CUDDINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL to discuss with their junior safety officers their monthly topics covering SEAT BELTS, CAR SEATS and ONLINE SAFETY.

The junior safety officers were tasked with organising a poster competition regarding SEAT BELTS and CAR SEATS for the whole school to participate.

Tomorrow the junior safety officers will deliver the interactive online safety quiz to their peers and choose their top 3 favourite posters in preparation for another future road safety initiative.

Good luck junior safety officers, super proud of you all!!

Week 13

WEAVER and CUDDINGTON beat team have linked in with WEAVERHAM PARISH COUNCIL chairman and clerk to discuss community issues/concerns raised, and how we can work together in partnership to resolve.

Parking patrol has ben conducted on WEST ROAD and LEIGH WAY following concerns raised by WEAVERHAM PARISH COUNCIL.  Further patrols will be made.  Support from CWAC enforcement officers has also  been made.

You said … resident voice surveys received highlighted speeding on CHESTER ROAD.  Speed enforcement has been conducted this week and the highest recorded speed capture was 40 mph.  Thank you to all for adhering to the speed limit in place.

Great engagement with week at the NORTHWICH COMMUNITY SUPPORT foodbank at WEAVERHAM ST MARY’S LIGHTHOUSE CENTRE (every WEDNESDAY from 0930 hours).

WEAVER and CUDDINGTON beat team attended PETTY POOL COLLEGE to deliver a presentation ‘SAFETY AROUND DOGS’ where the students discussed personal behaviour around dogs and the importance of seeking permissions to touch an unknown dog. From the owner.  Students especially enjoyed their session with therapy dog ‘CHERRY’.
